first:utility, a supplier of electricity, gas, telephone and broadband services, has appointed Firefly to support a campaign to increase awareness of the brand and drive customer take up.
first:utility is distinct from the “big six” power suppliers as it provides all its customers with smart meters and access to accurate information on their energy usage in real time. Provision of this data allows customers to make immediate cuts in energy consumption – thus reducing both their carbon emissions and their bills.
The Firefly campaign will focus on highlighting the unique elements of first:utility’s offering and contrasting that with the customer-unfriendly approach of quarterly, estimated billing that suppliers have used up to now. The agency will target a range of audiences - residential, business and property developers – positioning the company as providing a real alternative to the traditional suppliers.
