With three years PR experience under my belt, I packed my bags and swapped the sunshine of Sydney for the more temperate climes of Edinburgh. I actually arrived while it was snowing!
Undeterred, I started looking for work. I had hoped that moving continents would enhance my career, but you never know what opportunities you’ll find. I couldn’t believe my luck when I was offered the role at Firefly. I had heard about Firefly when I was working in Australia. The chance to join an independent European agency was just what I was looking for.
For the last three years, I have been working as part of an extremely talented and fun team. We have the best of both worlds; we are independent and in charge of our own future, but we also have an extended team in the other Firefly offices with whom we can share ideas and experiences. Recently, I have moved to London to become part of that team – an opportunity that wouldn’t have been easy to come by in many other companies. I haven’t looked back since arriving in UK and I’ve realised it doesn’t rain here as much as I once thought!
